Дорогие друзья и читатели!

Позвольте представить вам очередной номер журнала. Мы снова возвращаемся к уже ставшему привычным для нас формату с отдельным разделом по истории педагогики и образования, который традиционно представлен ведущим этой рубрики, известным российским ученым Михаилом Викторовичем Богуславским. Общей темой журнала на этот раз является обзор исследований молодых ученых, докторантов, аспирантов и магистрантов из США и России. Нам показалось, что в настоящий момент весьма актуально хотя бы виртуальное объединение научной молодежи из наших двух стран.

Мне очень приятно сообщить, что нам удалось открыть еще одну рубрику в журнале – обзор новых книг в области образования. Инаугурацию этой рубрики осуществит краткая рецензия замечательной новой книги израильского профессора Марка Сильвермана об инновационной теории и практики выдающегося польского педагога-гуманиста Януша Корчака, имя которого хорошо известно нашим постоянным читателям.  Тем же, кто впервые услышит это имя, я рекомендую почитать статьи о Корчаке и гуманистических педагогических проектах, вдохновлённых его идеями, в предыдущем выпуске нашего журнала. 

И последнее, но не последнее по важности, и также связанное с идеями Януша Корчака. Мне представилась замечательная возможность организовать на базе (и при активной поддержке) педагогического факультета Тихоокеанского университета Сиэтла (ТУС) в сотрудничестве с Ассоциацией Януша Корчака в США  международную конференцию, которая позволит не только рассказать о проектах и деятельности корчаковских организаций со всего мира, но и поделиться иными инновационными, заслуживающими внимания гуманистическими начинаниями и идеями. Конференция будет проходить в старинном и очень красивом студенческом городке ТУС, даты уже определены, 22-25 августа 2018 года. В ближайшие пару месяцев мы сможем сообщить читателям сайт конференции с более подробной информацией. Однако, если уже сейчас есть какие-то вопросы в этой связи, пожалуйста, пишите.

Вот, пожалуй, и все, что я планировала сказать прежде чем вы обратитесь к чтению самого номера. Как обычно, мы с нетерпением ждем ваших откликов и комментариев.
